Counselling is an umbrella term used to cover a range of talking therapies. Counselling offers the unique opportunity for you and your therapist to set aside time to talk, think and feel about
whatever has brought you to therapy. This might be past or present life events, relationships, behaviours, feelings or emotions.
Counselling can be short term or long term as discussed and agreed between you and your therapist. The counselling relationship is unique to you and what you are looking to gain from
therapy.
The aim of counselling is to offer the opportunity for growth, change and enhanced wellbeing in a safe, boundaried and confidential space.
